If we haven't met yet, I want to formally introduce myself. I am a Registered Dietitian, Christian, military wife, dog mom, and eating disorder specialist.

My #1 hope is to inspire and equip you on your journey with food. I care about ditching diet culture and finding full food freedom because I've walked through it myself and now get to walk alongside my clients in their journeys every single day.

My passion for food freedom as a believer in Christ comes from my own experience recovering from a severe eating disorder at a young age before becoming an intuitive eater myself. I know it's possible because I've been there.

Where it all started…

My experience as a dietitian started with working as a clinical dietitian at one of the top eating disorder treatment facilities in the country. I provided nutrition support, education, and counseling to patients in the inpatient, residential, partial-hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care. I currently provide outpatient nutrition services to clients in recovery from eating disorders.

My mission for my online nutrition coaching services is to help Christian women break free from diet culture and disordered eating. I provide one-on-one virtual nutrition coaching to help women embrace food freedom and intuitive eating from a faith-based approach. As a dietitian and a believer, I am passionate about empowering Christian women to honor God in their health without dieting, disordered eating, or fixating on weight loss and appearances. I believe healing your relationship with food is the first step towards lifelong peace with food and your body.

A glimpse into my life & the things I love!

When I'm not directly supporting clients or working on my business you can find me…

  • Spending time with my sweet husband, Jaron, whose goofy personality and zeal for life brings out my best self and keeps me laughing

  • Hanging out with our dog, Olive. She’s a mini goldendoodle with a straight coat which means she’ll look like a golden retriever puppy forever!!

  • Exploring Colorado and working on our home. The military moved us to Colorado in 2023 after living in Texas for 7 years and growing up in the Midwest.

  • Moving my body in ways that bring me joy! I love to do Pilates, barre, yoga, walk, run, lift weights, hike, ski, and play pickleball.

  • Planning our next trip and adventure

  • Searching for the best coffee shop, brunch spot, or winery

  • Trying out new recipes for dinners or baking a fresh pan of brownies or batch of cookies

  • Diving into whatever current book I have checked out of the local library

FAQs

  • A Registered Dietitian credential designates the highest level of nutrition expertise in the health and medical field. Registered Dietitians differ from nutritionists and health coaches because the Registered Dietitian (RD) credential is legally protected. An RD is a credentialed nutrition expert who has obtained at least a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics, completed an extensive supervised practice internship covering multiple fields of nutritional sciences, passed the national exam for dietitians, and continues to maintain continuing education in order to keep the RD credential.

On the other hand, there are no minimum qualifications or legal requirements for someone to call themselves a nutritionist or health coach.

As a Registered Dietitian, I value evidence-based nutrition science and practice within the ethics and scope of practice for dietitians.

  • The most important part of my background has been my personal experience recovering from an eating disorder, becoming an intuitive eater myself, and dedicating my career to helping others overcome disordered eating to find lasting food freedom.

I earned my Bachelor’s of Science through the Coordinated Program in Dietetics at Texas Christian University. I completed my dietetic internship through TCU’s Coordinated Program in Dietetics with a focus on nutrition education, clinical nutrition, food service management, and a culminating practice internship in eating disorder treatment.

Professionally, my clinical experience has been in treating all types of eating disorder diagnoses at one of the top eating disorder treatment facilities in the country. I have worked with patients in the inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of eating disorder care. I also provide outpatient nutrition counseling support to patients in eating disorder recovery.

I am in the process of earning my Certified Eating Disorder Specialist certification, which designates providers who have spent extensive time treating eating disorders, received clinical supervision, and continue to learn and invest in the field of eating disorders.

  • I have experienced firsthand the depths of disordered eating and the beauty of food freedom on the other side. I have dedicated my career to supporting others in finding food and body peace. During my time as a clinical eating disorders dietitian and now as a food freedom dietitian I have helped my clients move from a place of food and body bondage to lasting peace and confidence with food and their bodies.

My approach is not one-size-fits-all. It’s not a curriculum or 3 step process that sneakily gives you false promises… I don’t know about you, but that gives me diet culture vibes. Instead, I provide personalized support to help you reach your food and body freedom goals.

  • Eating disorders are serious and life-threatening mental illnesses that have medical, nutritional, and psychiatric consequences. Eating disorders often involve a preoccupation (obsession) with food, eating, body weight and shape, and exercise.

The term disordered eating describes a range of irregular eating behaviors that may or may not warrant a diagnosis of a specific eating disorder. Examples of disordered eating include frequent dieting, skipping meals, binge eating, anxiety related to certain foods, and feelings of guilt and shame related to eating.

  • Intuitive eating is an anti-diet approach to eating with the goal of developing body trust, reconnecting with your internal God-given wisdom about eating, and unlearning diet culture beliefs about weight loss, food rules, and the normalization of disordered eating.

    Intuitive eating is not:

Simply eating whatever you want with no regard to how it makes your body feel

    Forgetting about nutrition

A subtle way to keep dieting or a reason to restrict or binge
